We started things off with a day in Atlanta.
We did the Georgia Aquarium for the first time. It was incredible! We walked through a tunnel where everywhere you look around you, you're surrounded by water and sea creatures. We were all in awe. Some of our favorite things to watch for were the sharks, the manta rays and a saw fish.
After the aquarium we went straight to the World of Coke. We went on a tour of the factory.
Juliann LOVED the Coca Cola Bear. I mean LOVED it. She wanted to stay here for the rest of her life.
And then onto Juliann and Jackson's favorite part of the day, the tasting room. Truly a kid's dream come true. I won't tell you how many times we had all had to stop to use the facilities on the walk back to the car. Let's just say, we made a unanimous decision that they need to put a restroom about every 30 steps as you're leaving.
We also got to see 4-D movie which everyone really enjoyed (except for Lucy. She wasn't a fan of the jolting movements and wind effects).
You know you've had a long, fun day when you see this. Sleeping in front of a plate at Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles. Delish.
We also did a trip to Stone Mountain with everyone. We rode the train around the base of the mountain and even got to sit right in the front. Lucy wasn't too excited about the loud whistle, but she did okay considering. We rode the cable car to the top of the mountain where it was too cold and windy to go out and explore, but still a beautiful view. We got to see another 4-D movie about dinosaurs. (Lucy and I sat that one out). We ended the evening with the Laser Show!
Juliann had the pleasure of having lunch with Grandma, Grandpa and Liz at her school one day. And also having Grandpa share with her class about his job being a doctor.
One afternoon, the womenfolk got to sneak out to do a little prom dress shopping for Liz. We found her a beautiful dress and then hit up Claire's for some matching accessories.
On Sunday we went to the Botanical Gardens and walked around and enjoyed some fresh air. That night we all got creamed by Grandma in a card game called Wizard. Until next time, Grandma!
We loved our visit with them! Hope to see them again soon.
