Oregon State Fair

Last year we went to the State Fair and we had so much fun, we knew we had to go again this year. We went with some of Doug's family this time and we had a great time!

We got to see lots of animals that the kids got to touch and pet.

A sheep in a leotard. (We figured it was to keep them clean?)

Juliann and Aunt Halie

Looking at the adorable baby pigs:

We went in to little petting zoo with animals running around all over the place. There were deer, goats, llamas, and kangaroos. The goats tried to eat Doug's shoelaces and Halie's sweater. And a baby goat jumped into my lap when I squatted down to take a picture. They were very friendly.

We had to get the full fair experience and eat fair food. Doug got a two foot long corn dog and these mammoth onion rings that Juliann loved.
And Jackson got his first taste of meat- Grandpa's leftover turkey leg. It looks so wrong in so many ways, but he loved that thing fiercely.

This is a cake. Yes, a cake. It won first prize. It was amazing.

They had gorgeous flowers.

We went to the "Artisan Corner" and saw some glass blowing, a real black smith and some amazing wood carvings.

Here's Juliann getting her groove on:
