These are a few simple things I've been recently grateful for:
Sewing machine- Lately my sewing machine has been my last little lifeline to saneness. It is rainy basically 90% of the time here, and when it's not raining it's really cold. I have had my sewing stuff taking over the kitchen table for a couple of weeks now, and it's been great. I am trying to do at least a small project every day to keep myself busy. When all I have to do is wait for this baby to come, and wait for it to stop raining, and wait for Doug to get home from school (you get the picture), my sewing machine is exactly what I need. I'm lovin it.
Thigh highs- I purchased my first pair of thigh high hose over Christmas break at the recommendation of a dear sister to whom I will be forever grateful. You might not understand this unless you know what it's like to have extremely white, veiny legs and be very, very pregnant. It is really hard to wear regular hose, impossible, I might say, especially the more pregnant I get. And I think for some reason the only pair I had that wasn't shredded by Juliann's new sequin covered church shoes was the control top ones. Yeah... not working. So thigh highs are wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation, or just anyone who has to wear the blasted things.
The trash truck- There is a sweet lady at my church back home who I remember saying she was thankful for the trash truck and she would always go out and wave and say thank you to them as they took their trash. The older I get the more I understand her gratefulness. I am so glad we have trash guys who come. Of course, they usually don't come until the dumpster is overflowing and there is trash all over the parking lot, but when they finally do it's so nice. What would we do with out them?
Ice cream- So stinkin good.
Chapstick- I've pretty much always been addicted to this stuff, but lately I've had an extra appreciation for it. Probably partly because my daughter is wild about it, and partly because I've had a cold and I've been breathing with my mouth open for three days and three nights, this stuff really comes in handy.
I don't know how to end this post so here is a picture of my little chubster a year ago.

Thigh highs never stayed up for me! What the heck? My thighs must be to shapely ;)
THEY MAKE MATERNITY PANTYHOSE!!!!! I got mine at Motherhood Maternity and they cost a million dollars. I would say they were worth it, though. I cannot get by without them. I'm sure you can buy them from other sources, and probably much cheaper, I just haven't looked yet.
P.S. Are your legs as veiny as mine? It's BAD.
