Juliann could use this all day long and be happy. We got it at Walmart for a couple of bucks. It's basically just a net on one end that you can open and close and put things inside. You can put fruits and things in so you don't have to worry about the baby dealing with the pulp. They can just bite and suck the juice out. We put ice in her's all the time too. She is in love with it. I think every mother should have one.
2. Making music:
I think this is hilarious. She didn't whistle as much after I got the camera of course. She also loves to shake it and watch it wiggle back and forth after she stops shaking.
We got out the keyboard the other day and had a dance party. Juliann is great at her little head bang. She also sang a little, and I thought she kept waving hi, but I figured out later she was "conducting" the music. I didn't know she knew what that was until I saw her doing it again later that day.
3. The library: We went to the library with a friend and her kids the other day. Juliann had a blast. Our library is awesome and they have a whole floor devoted to kids. Fish tanks, legos, little stuffed animals that you can ride on and rock back and forth and those colorful, wooden bead things that you can string all around each other. It was also cool because our friend has a baby a little older than Juliann who is walking, so I think Juliann learned a little bit from watching him waddle all around.
4. The sleeping blanket and softies:
Juliann loves these two things. Her sleeping blanket, made by Grammie Mingledorff, and softies. Softies are cloth diapers that we used mainly as burp rags in the beginning, but now have become her sleeping buddies. My parents called them softies, so that's where the name comes from. We have come to find out that she will fall asleep much better with a softie against her face and her sleeping blankie than with most anything else.
