We recently had the chance to go to the coast with some of Doug's family. (You have to call it the coast out here, because when you think of the beach, you think of warmth and swimming. The ocean here is cold and really windy, hence, "the coast".) It was actually not raining which seems to be rare around this time of year, and it was a gorgeous day. The long drive out was pretty uneventful thanks to our fabulous portable DVD player and Juliann's favorite movie "Andy" as she calls it, (also known as Toy Story). We got there and roasted some hotdogs and marshmallows and enjoyed the beautiful view.
Yes, it was absolutely beautiful, but does anyone else think it's sad that Juliann has to wear a COAT while she plays in the sand? It's just not right...
We had a good time and enjoyed having a little family trip together!
