I can't believe my little Juliann turned one today. I'm sad that she is growing up so fast, but it's also pretty exciting. We had a fabulous party for her today. Doug's family came over and we had her favorite dinner, spaghetti, followed by a pink polka dot cake that she obviously enjoyed. She wasn't quite sure how to blow out the candle but she tried. And once she finally realized that you were supposed to eat the cake, Juliann graciously offered to share by throwing a big glob of cake in my lap. How nice.
It has been the longest and hardest yet happiest and sweetest year of my life. We're so lucky to have this amazing little rascal in our family.
