Spring Fever

Last week in Salem, we had some AMAZING weather (considering it was the middle of January). Almost every day was in the 50's and we even had some nice breaks from the constant raininess and gray. I've noticed that any little peek I get at the sunshine does drastic wonders to improve my mood. Juliann and I went on lots of long walks, replenishing our stores of vitamin D and just enjoying the fresh air. On these walks I started to notice little green buds poking out of the dirt and passed a couple people even doing yardwork. All of this put together has given me spring fever, BAD. It has made me itchy to plant flowers and smell freshly cut grass and dust the grill off to cook some hotdogs and hamburgers. It really makes me wish we had a huge back yard so we could have plenty of room for summer water fights and running in barefeet. However, this is not the case yet. We don't even have any yard at all, and it's definitely not warm enough to do any of those things quite yet. But the fever continues to burn.
I think this is what has started my motivation to work on fun projects again. I love to get an idea of what I'm going to do, and then I want to spend all day doing nothing but that. Usually that doesn't work well considering I have a baby to take care of and a house to clean, but I like to put off what I can and do the fun stuff instead. This is something else I finished recently.

AHHHH! I NEED several of those for Bryn! Pass along the pattern, won't you? And for the pillowcase dress? Or you could just give them to me. That works too :) P.S. We're SO gonna be rich.
