Yes, you read that right. We took a ROAD trip to UTAH. Not a plane ride. That's right. I am a chicken when it comes to road trips and little kids, but the plane ticket prices scared me into thinking it would be better to drive. Well... not the best decision I ever made. :)
The drive down we drove throught the night figuring the kids would sleep the whole time. WRONG. Juliann maybe got three hours of sleep that night and she was a serious wreck the next day, (and basically the rest of the trip, especially after she got sick.)
We went down to Utah to see Doug's brother, Matt and his beautiful bride Taylor get married. The sealing was in the Draper Temple and it was beautiful. We were so happy to be there for that and to have Taylor a part of our family now. We, of course, happened to forget to bring our camera to the temple, but hopefully I can get pictures and post them later.
We were able to stay in a Mariott hotel almost every night of the trip which was awesome, thanks to another wonderful sister-in-law's hookups. Juliann fell in love with the hot tub. (The pool was a little too cold.) And thanks to her awesome Aunt Karlie for playing with her a lot of the time she was swimming!
Jackson had a fabulous time watching from the sides with his oversized hat that is not one size fits all, as the tag says.
