It's been pretty similar to last time. No throwing up, just nauseous in the beginning, then tired a lot. Now I feel great, but I am packing on the pounds like I'm getting ready to hibernate. Seriously. I just pray that this baby is as good a nurser as Juliann was to help get this baby weight off when the time comes. Last time I didn't really have any cravings. The only weird thing that I wanted was all different kinds of potatoes for like a week and Rice Krispies cereal a lot of nights before I went to bed. This time is different. The top food items I have wanted so far are fishsticks, anything barbequed (especially a pulled pork sandwich), Ramen, popcorn, cheese, Reese's icecream, and tons of other sweets. No wonder I'm packing on the pounds...
Also, this baby is WAAAAY more fiesty than Juliann was at this time. He likes to try to scare me by being really still for a long time and then kicking as hard as he can. Last night I was watching my belly moving around and I kept seeing both sides pop out at the same time, like he was jumping up and stretching out his whole body. He likes to run in place, practice karate, do flips, and I have also felt him have hiccups a few times.
People keep asking us if we have a name picked out. I think things will be pretty much like it was with Juliann last time. We are going to have a list of names we really like and then when we see him, we'll decide. The problem is Doug only likes ugly names, and doesn't like hardly any of the names I like. :) Okay, so we are making slight progress, but I think there are maybe only one or two names we both kind of like right now.
Today I packed up a ton of baby girl clothes and socks and hats and dresses. It was a little sad, but I'm so excited to get a whole new set of baby clothes but with blues and greens and reds this time. I'm hoping all this newborn stuff this time around will be a little bit better, just because we kind of know what to expect this time and we sort of know how to take care of a baby this time. I am vowing to myself that I will not be as stressed out and overwhelmed by the little things, but we'll see how it goes when I'm sore and hormonal and sleep deprived. I've still got time to prepare for that, right?
I am 25 weeks now. I'll try to remember to get Doug to take a picture of me so I can show off my baby belly (and double chin). Until then, here is a picture of my sweet little Ju trying out some of her baby brothers new things. She's really excited too. Man, I love this girl.

Mmm! Pulled pork! That's what we're having tonight if you'd like to come over. :) I'm glad you're doing well!
